Wine tasting at a winery in San Gimignano and light lunch

The appointment is at the Palagetto winery in the hills of San Gimignano. You will be welcomed by one of the young staff members, who will accompany you throughout the experience. After a brief introduction about the history of the Palagetto family and the philosophy behind wine production, he will take you to the barrique cellar: the place where the wine rests, matures and takes on its personality.
 
Here the guided tasting will begin. Goblet in hand, you will taste 4 wines from the estate - 2 whites and 2 reds - each narrated with passion and expertise by the guide, who will explain their characteristics, aromas, ideal pairings and winemaking secrets.
 
Among the wines being tasted, you might find the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, a white that is the symbol of the territory, and Sottobosco, an intense red born from the union of Sangiovese, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The labels offered may vary according to availability and season.
 
To accompany the wines, an all-Tuscan menu: a rich board with local cold cuts and cheeses, a hot first course prepared by the kitchen and, to end on a sweet note, cantucci and Vin Santo. Between a glass and a forkful, you will discover the truest soul of Tuscany.

Scenic flight by plane to Lake Bolsena and Orvieto

The rendezvous with the pilot is at the Podere le Cascine airfield (Grosseto). After a briefing on the course, you will board the PA-28-180 aircraft, an airplane made by the U.S. company Piper.
 
Ready? Let's take off! We'll fly over Lake Bolsena, an enchanting body of water surrounded by verdant hills and picturesque villages.
 
We'll then continue on to Orvieto, a city suspended in time and space, perched on a gravity-defying cliff. From up here, you'll be able to admire Orvieto Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and the vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see, like a green carpet cuddling the city.
 
After being intoxicated by so much beauty, we'll return toward Grosseto with a heart full of emotions and a camera memory full of incredible images.
 
Between briefing, pre-flight preparation and actual flight, the activity will last a total of about 1 1/2 hours.
